The Wedding♥

“Loving someone and having them love you back is the most precious thing in the world.”

I have mentioned on my previous post way way back that I will blog about the most special day of my sister's life. Finally, after a long period of time waiting for all the photos to finally arrived and editing them for my blog post, I am now ready to share this whimsical story that made me cry for happiness. Last April 18, 2013, A bright sunny Thursday, a perfect groom and a beautiful bride vowed to love each other in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, until death do them part. That beautiful bride is my sister, who longs for a man who will not just accept her but as well as her lovely daughter. Yes, she used to be a single mom, If only I can tell you the whole story about her survival of pain & heartaches but I know I can't because It will took me forever. Just to make the long story short, the perfect groom finally came into her life, whom not just accepted her daughter but as well as who love them both as if she was her own. My sister once told me that she doesn't believe in Fairy Tales anymore that she's already happy with her daughter but all of a sudden things changed. Fairy Tales does exist, she met her prince and fall in love. And now, let me show you the most wonderful moment that made us all very happy. :)
THE PREPARATION
Just a little side note, we slept together the night before the wedding on our hotel and I have witnessed how excited she was for she doesn't sleep because she can't. She laid down, and then she stood up and lay down again and stood up until the sun shines in the morning. (So that's the feeling pala, kaloka! no sleep, and sira ang beauty rest) Anyways, she's still pretty even if she lacks some sleep, right?
We don't have a wedding planner or coordinator but we worked together. I together with my sister Joyce were the one who served as a coordinator. I am in-charge of all the invitations and the souvenirs while my sissie Joyce was in-charged of the program.
"THE BEHIND THE SCENE"
My mom with my Sister :)
And we're all busy! :) By the way, If you're wondering why I was wearing pink and with a crown on my head (as if it was my debut) that's because I'm the favorite aunt of the little bride. She wanted to include me in the entourage as her maid of honor for she was the little bride. Since I can't say no to this angel, I have to look like her. I designed my own gown, still i don't want to end up being the center of attraction because that's the bride's moment not mine. My niece's worn a ball gown right? so I can't copy her gown because I will really end up being a debutante, LOL! Instead, I make it as high & low dress that's one of my favorite design so far. I'm not a designer but I love fashion as you all know. That's the story behind my pink dress :)
My mom with me and my siblings + my niece KC
You see, our cute little niece KC wasn't really on the mood for photo ops like this. Believe me, she has her moment and when she's not really on the mood whatever you'll do to make her smile it isn't just working. I guess she's also having a butterfly on her stomach, mixed emotions that finally her mom is getting married. Excuse her sad emo face :( I know that this was supposed to be a happy day, but she's just really hard to please. We still love her though :)
"THE ALTAR OF LOVE"
I don't know, but during moments like this, as the bride walks down the aisle it always made me cry. Tears shed as I watched my sister walks down the aisle, tears of joy & happiness that we all felt, specially my mom who even promised me she won't cry but she does. She's excuse because I know she's happy, as well as my Dad. Finally, one member of the family got married after a long period of time. As I watched her walks down the aisle, I suddenly remembered everything I went through in the name of Love and deep down inside, I pray, that someday I will be able to find true love and will be able to forget every pain and heartaches I went through. I know I'm such a drama queen, but moment like this really made me burst out, you know what's one thing that stops me from sobbing? My make-up! I wouldn't want to end up being a panda :) haha, Change topic! I don't want to end up crying while typing. Anyhow, I'm really happy to see my "Ate" (big sister) finally settling down. I wish her all the best.

 "PHOTO OPPORTUNITY"
(above photo) That's how big our Family is. :) Relative of the bride^_^

I said cover your eyes kids, don't peek! We all laugh so hard when Kiarah (the little girl infront) really turned her head and looked over. tsk2.. Naughty little girl! :p
(above photo)  meet my Family :) From the left, that's my sister Joyce (2nd) from the eldest, the one with the crown yours truly (3rd), my Mom Girlette, my brother Mykuh (youngest/8th), the bride that's my sister Gwen (1st/eldest), KC the little girl is our niece, above that's Joey (5th), the new member of the Family, the Groom that's Brother Carson, above is Gio Andrew (7th), My beloved father Wilson, my younger sissie Eve (4th), and lastly that's Joanna (6th). A one big Happy Family indeed :)

"THE RECEPTION"

Since my sister's flower bouquet was too heavy, we decided to used my little niece's bouquet. Instead of the traditional throwing of bouquet, we decided to just passed it over with the music on and when it stops whoever holds the bouquet will be the one to get married next. Well, that's basically depends on whoever gets it, but I guess that's not true. I myself, was able to catch it 6-7 years ago but it didn't happened, I was too young back then. :) Anyhow, this was really funny because my friend Chrissie the girl on my left holds the bouquet too long as she really wanted to know if it's even true but unluckily It wasn't destined for her.
Look at my friend Chrissie, that's how we laugh so hard because it takes 4-5 seconds before she passed it over to me. LOL! She's really crazy right? That's why we're friends..  :)
My sister's closest friend Ate Maui was the one who got the bouquet and that's Papa Cris, Ate Maui's long time boyfriend who actually was chosen by the groom since there aren't single gentlemen who stood up when we called them fro the throwing of the garter. The groom just handed it over to Papa Cris instead. They make a lovely couple right? I wish they will finally settle down next year as well.
That's my uncle giving his heart melting message for the newly-wed couple and that's me (photo below) listening to every single word he uttered. I have my moment as well, I told you I am  a little melodramatic with moments like this. Don't blame me, I'm a Scorpio that's why.
That's it! I'll end this up with a special quote about LOVE, I really hope you had a great time reading my blog post. :) Remember this:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
